** Update 7.5.17
G2X TAKE: Two
protests related to this 5-year single award IDIQ to provide a
comprehensive solution to satisfy operational data management requirements
across the FDA enterprise have been dismissed.
As we have learned,
dismissed can mean several things in GAO parlance, many of which are not
indicative of final resolution, but for now the challenges put forth by CNI
Global Solutions, LLC and Biswas Information Technology Solutions, Inc.
have been quelled. Details have not been provided at this time as to the
reason for the dismissal – more will be shared here as it is made available.
More details on that award and the requirement can be found here.
G2X TAKE: It appears that at least two of the bidders on this 5-year single award IDIQ to provide a comprehensive solution to satisfy operational data management requirements across the FDA enterprise were not satisfied with the results as two protests have been filed with GAO.
Details as to the grounds for the protests, one by CNI Global Solutions, LLC and the other by Biswas Information Technology Solutions, Inc., have not been made available at this time. The actions are expected to be resolved by no later than September 13th, 2017.
The scope of this contract awarded to joint-venture, BA-ZAI, LLC, late last month is quite broad as it covers everything from receiving data in a variety of physical and electronic formats and the sorting and routing of data to the correct FDA Center, to performing Quality Assurance and Quality Control on data and supporting testing and validation of new software systems used to support new and more efficient data entry systems. More details on that award and the requirement can be found here.
